In response to recent events regarding COVID-19, Kroger Specialty Pharmacy would like to reassure our patients, providers, pharma partners, associates and all the customers we serve, that we will remain open and are committed to our mission to deliver a high-touch caring experience for those undergoing complex chronic illnesses.

The foundation of Kroger Specialty Pharmacy is deeply rooted in Our Purpose to Feed the Human Spirit. This historical event has caused our country to reference COVID-19, as a ‘time of uncertainty.’ However, there is one thing that is certain throughout all of this, and that is a common desire to uplift and to keep our families safe.

At Kroger Specialty Pharmacy, our purpose is to feed the human spirit. It’s a simple truth that our world is hungry for uplift. It is a universal need as powerful as our need for food and fuel. That’s why, with care as our currency, we Feed the Human Spirit.


Now more than ever, we understand that all our customers are depending on us to live out Our Purpose. This requires us to be flexible and adapt during these times. These are the measures that we are taking to ensure the safety of our associates and patients:


Working Remote to Keep Our Associates Safe

With 11 locations across the United States and Puerto Rico, our pharmacies have migrated over 75% of our associates to work remotely from their homes. Transitioning our associates to their homes ensures their safety so they can be there for their families, and in return, be there for our customers. Our Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Fulfillment Teams remain at our pharmacies to ensure that all medication is sent out on time and that every shipment is accurate.


A Special Message for Our Patients, Providing Support During This Journey

Kroger Specialty Pharmacy serves as a liaison between the physician’s office and insurance company to ensure patients get access to the desired treatment and stay connected to financial assistance.

Understanding that a high percentage of our patients have compromised immune systems, we suggest that our patients speak directly with their provider to address any questions or concerns regarding changes to their treatment plan. Every patient is different, which is why treatment plans vary. If you have any questions regarding your medication, please always contact your provider. At Kroger Specialty Pharmacy our Clinical Support team is always here as additional support.
